Job description

We are looking for a Sales Manager in our Life Science department who wants to consolidate a career being a part of a leading in vitro diagnostic company that has been growing enormously during the last 15 years.
As a leader of the sales team, you will contribute to the implementation of the strategy, development, and objectives of the organization. Your role will involve identifying market trends, transforming them into actionable strategies in alignment with the global strategy, and ensuring strong key account management.
📍 Location: Well-connected to airport connections (Spain or Portugal)
✈ Availability to Travel: Up to 25%

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the sales management and strategy within the Life Science market, focusing on in vitro products, laboratories, pathology, and surgical oncology devices.
Implement a consultative sales approach, providing scientific support and guidance throughout the commercial process.
Represent Sysmex in key accounts, attending conferences and fairs within the segment.
Regularly visit key clients to establish strong relationships for ongoing and future business opportunities.
Oversee the commercial department, coordinating pricing strategies based on market availability and competitor analysis.
Ensure the sales team actively uses the CRM and analyze data from CRM/Sales Funnel to make informed decisions.
Direct large-scale projects, providing solutions and services tailored to clients’ needs.
Manage national accounts and centralized procurement organizations directly.
Determine customer needs and establish action plans for area sales representatives to achieve targets.
Prepare market reports and analyze profitability for different zones and projects.
Oversee and support the commercial team, managing resources, setting objectives, and reviewing performance (e.g., salary and bonus reviews, commissions, expense approvals).
Ensure employees receive adequate support, training, and evaluation to maintain high motivation and performance.
Lead and participate in team projects, ensuring progress and quality of work.
Job requirements
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
Extensive experience in the Life Science sector, ideally within molecular biology, pathology, and breast surgery, with a minimum of 5 years in similar roles.
Strong knowledge of the Life Science market, including regulatory frameworks (IVDR/MDR) and molecular diagnostics.
Solid understanding of the market landscape and key industry players across Spain and Portugal.
Proven leadership experience, with more than 5 years managing commercial teams and direct responsibility for teams of 4 or more people.
Strong analytical capabilities, with proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics.
Results-driven mindset combined with the ability to build and sustain a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Advanced English proficiency, enabling effective communication in an international environment.
