Field Application Specialist/Field Sales Representative (Illes Balears)

At Sysmex, we are looking for a Technical Service & Applications Specialist to provide high-quality technical, scientific, and application support for our IVD solutions across the Illes Balears territory.

This is a hybrid role combining field technical service with applications and scientific support, working closely with Technical Service, Sales, Marketing, and Key Account Management teams.

In this role you will:

Applications & Scientific Support

• Deliver scientific, clinical, and technical application support to customers and the Sales team

• Conduct on-site and remote training, product demonstrations, and workflow optimization

• Support key accounts with scientific justification and technical solution design

• Participate in customer events, workshops, and scientific sessions

• Support clinical studies and technical documentation

• Promote Sysmex value propositions and Total Laboratory Automation solutions

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Act as the main technical and scientific contact for assigned accounts

• Ensure effective communication between customers and internal teams (Service, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain)

• Identify opportunities for upgrades, efficiency improvements, and commercial development

Technical Service

• Install, upgrade, maintain, and repair Sysmex instruments (Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Laboratory Automation)

• Ensure optimal performance of the installed base in Illes Balears

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues following SOPs and quality standards

• Provide basic technical training to users after installation

• Document service activities and quality feedback

• Support local demos, workshops, congresses, and internal technical projects

What you need to be sucessful:

Education:

• University degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in:

  • Field service or technical support in IVD, and/or

  • Applications support, clinical education, or laboratory diagnostics

• Experience in customer-facing roles and working under pressure

Skills

• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities

• Good understanding of IVD laboratory workflows and clinical applications

• Proficiency in MS Office and PC connectivity

• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly

Languages

• Fluent in English and Spanish
