Job description

We are looking for a Field Application Specialist and Field Sales Representative who wants to consolidate a career being a part of a leading in vitro diagnostic company that has been growing enormously during the last 15 years. As an expert professional in your area, you will be joining our Iberia Diagnostics department.

In this role you will:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships in your assigned territory

  • Promote Sysmex solutions while aligning with company values, compliance guidelines, and the FENIN code of ethics

  • Actively engage with a wide range of contacts within customer organizations, beyond just purchasing teams

  • Support key account development and acquisition strategies with the sales team

  • Share user feedback, habits, and recommendations with the sales and marketing departments

Sales:

  • Take ownership of your area’s sales targets (net sales, pricing)

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts in the CRM (Sales Funnel/Forecast)

  • Register reagents in purchasing systems and coordinate delivery of Free of Charge (FOC) equipment when applicable

  • Collaborate with BS Managers, Application Specialists, and Regional Sales Managers to define and implement sales strategies

  • Negotiate and close agreements that respond to client needs and align with Sysmex offerings

  • Manage the OGP process (Order to Cash – order tracking, invoicing, and billing)

  • Support the collection of sales invoices as needed

Scientific and Technical Support:

  • Work closely with clients to identify and propose the most suitable formats or solutions for their diagnostic needs

  • Act as the primary scientific advisor to users throughout the sales process

  • Use lab time effectively to connect with medical and technical staff, speaking their language and understanding their needs

  • Provide expert support for Total Lab Automation projects and individual workstation solutions

  • Organize and lead complex solution demonstrations in collaboration with sales

  • Offer post-sales support to ensure long-term satisfaction and successful product integration.

Training & Education:

  • Deliver tailored scientific training to laboratory professionals and physicians

  • Conduct “train the trainer” sessions using the workbook concept

  • Train users across all shifts to ensure full operational knowledge

  • Promote understanding of Sysmex laboratory technologies through events and direct engagement

Market Intelligence & Event Participation:

  • Conduct ongoing market research, including competitor activity and trends

  • Report key insights and observations to Regional Sales and Business Sector Managers

  • Gather competitive intelligence to help position Sysmex with a strong value proposition

  • Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer demos

  • Organize and contribute to local events that showcase Sysmex’s diagnostic value.

Job requirements

What you need to be sucessful:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related field.

  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in laboratory diagnostics, preferably in hematology or other IVD fields.

  • Experience of minimum 3 years in sales and/or scientific application roles within the healthcare industry is a strong asset.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive and solution-driven attitude.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to team goals.

  • Fluent in [insert language] and English (spoken and written).

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
