Job description

We are looking for a motivated and scientifically driven Field Application Specialist to join Sysmex, a leading global company in in vitro diagnostics and laboratory automation. In this role, you will work hand in hand with our Sales team to provide technical, scientific, and clinical support to our customers, ensuring the added value of Sysmex solutions is delivered across the full diagnostic workflow.

This position is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, efficient sales processes, and the promotion of Sysmex solutions as the benchmark in Total Laboratory Automation.

In this role you will:

  1. Support sales network in laboratory technology specialized in in vitro diagnostic tests and procedures.

  2. Provide technical and laboratory support to customers, ensuring smooth integration and optimal use of Sysmex solutions.

  3. Assist sales representatives by:

    • Developing key accounts.

    • Supporting customer acquisition.

    • Acting as the advisor to users throughout the OGP (OTC) sales process.

  4. Deliver scientific training for medical staff and provide ongoing user support.

  5. Organize and participate in local events promoting Sysmex technology and its diagnostic value.

  6. Lead demonstrations of Sysmex solutions (BS & Total Lab Automation), working closely with the Sales Department and Business Unit.

  7. Gather competitive intelligence and user feedback, reporting to Marketing and Sales to refine strategy.

  8. Collaborate closely with laboratory staff (all shifts, all users) through:

    • Training sessions (“train the trainer” model).

    • Demonstrations and workflow optimization.

  9. Support the sales department by defining tailored offers and strategies based on user needs.

  10. Maintain and strengthen relationships with contacts across different hospital and laboratory functions, not limited to purchasing.

  11. Promote Sysmex products and services with a consultative, scientific-based approach.

    • Ensure compliance with Sysmex’s Quality and Environmental Management System, ISO standards, and legal requirements.

Job requirements

What you need to be sucessful:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a Biosciences related field

  • more than 4 years of experience in sales and technical support, preferably in in vitro diagnostics or medical devices

  • Technical knowledge of IVD products/Industry

  • Native level of Spanish and fluent in English

  • Strong attention to detail with superb organizational & analytical skills

  • Capacity to negotiate and close agreements

  • Commercial experience and high orientation to customers

  • Able to explain scientific complex solutions to all publics

  • Computer skills: MS Office, (CRM), management programs
